Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Inspection Reports in Northern Utah
What Is a WDI Inspection?
A Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection — also called a WDO (Wood Destroying Organism) inspection — is a formal inspection of a property for evidence of termites, carpenter ants, and other wood-destroying insects. Many mortgage lenders and VA loans require a WDI report before closing. Real estate transactions in Utah increasingly include WDI inspections as a standard part of the due diligence process.
What We Inspect
- Termite activity and damage — subterranean termites, mud tubes, structural damage
- Carpenter ant evidence — frass (sawdust-like material), galleries in wood
- Wood-boring beetles — exit holes and evidence in structural wood
- Conducive conditions — wood-to-soil contact, moisture damage, accessible entry points
- Full interior and exterior structural inspection
What You Get
You receive a written WDI report on the official state-approved form. The report documents any active infestations found, damage observed, and conducive conditions identified. Most lenders and VA loan programs accept our reports. Reports are typically delivered within 24 hours of inspection.
